Defend Media Freedom

Last week PMA participated in the inaugural Global Conference for Media Freedom in London, hosted by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Restrictive laws, a lack of independent public media and high levels of violence towards journalists are just some of the threats limiting media freedom across Latin America.

"Together we must support the vulnerable, assist each other through challenging times, as nations as well as agencies. We must never forget that to be proactive is far, far better than having to be reactive"
