After months of scrutiny and accusations of corruption, all eight members of the Radio and Television Kosovo (RTK) board have been fired by the Assembly of Kosovo.

Labour unions begin strike action and organise a possible blackout as South Africa’s public broadcaster continues to implement its Section 189 process.

South Africa’s public broadcaster confirms that it will follow through with restructuring plans that will result in 400 job losses, and asks the public to contribute to the TV licence debate.

The proposed cuts focus on in-house programme-makers as the broadcaster pushes through with the commercialisation of its production division, BBC Studios.

In early September the Greek government held a controversial licence fee auction for private television broadcasters, cutting the number from eight to four.
