PMA is staffed by a small team, based in the UK and in Europe, and is headquartered in Norwich. Our Board is made up of public media executives and leaders from our global membership.
The Public Media Alliance is a membership association of 50+ TV and radio broadcasting organisations with a public service remit.
Members also include broadcast-related organisations such as regulators and broadcast technology companies. The Alliance stretches across 54 countries – in both hemispheres and all continents. You can find out more about our diverse membership here.
We are a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. Our offices are in Norwich at the University of East Anglia. Our staff are predominantly based in the UK.

The PMA membership elects a new board every two years.
The new board came into effect on 2 February 2026. Claude Galipeau was elected President, alongside returning Vice President Dr Frank-Dieter Freiling, and new Vice President David Sutton.
