The Public Media Alliance (PMA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Future Media Hubs (FMH), which will see close collaboration between the two likeminded organisations.

This partnership establishes a framework for cooperation, mutual support, and knowledge-sharing across various mutual interests, including reaching young audiences, evolving trends in public media content, and AI and public media.

Collaboration will focus on event partnerships, content collaboration, and joint research and projects.

With both organisations operating at an international level, and seeking to promote collaboration across the media sector, this partnership will deliver value and more opportunities for both members of PMA and FMH.

“I am delighted to formalise this partnership between PMA and FMH. We share many of the same values and a common vision for a healthy, plural, and independent media landscape, across Europe and beyond. While the environment for media companies feels harsh and unforgiving, this agreement is the foundation on which PMA and FMH can support one another in our collective determination to foster wider collaboration across the media industry.”

– Kristian Porter, CEO, Public Media Alliance

“We are thrilled to join forces and bring our networks together. The insights gained from international cases and collaboration within the FMH network, together with the yearly trend reports, are a perfect addition to PMA’s global expertise in media freedom and advocacy in public media. Together we can amplify each other’s strengths and build a more resilient media sector across Europe that creates worldwide impact.”

– Sarah Geeroms, Head of FMH
