The CBA project Your WorldView is proud to announce the launch of a new season, Home.
The Your WorldView platform is designed for sharing and supporting filmmaking about the wider world, and the new season showcases broadcast-quality content that should be of interest to stations and commissioners around the globe.
The season kicks off today, and will run until September this year. It is the place to view short documentaries that offer a window into different ideas of home that are relevant to contemporary international development issues. Your WorldView has launched the season with three exclusive films from multi award-winning director, Jezza Neumann. The set of films, Kids in Camps, was filmed in the Domiz camp on the Syrian border. The stories offer insight into the lives of three children with different views on what Home means to them. Watch the films exclusively on Your WorldView.
The Home season is also calling for submssions of short films from anywhere in the world on the wider theme, whether they be about refugees, migration, memories or alternative architecture. As ever, Your WorldView will be offering an array of funding opportunities, screenings and global events.
Other partnerships for the initiative include teaming up with Panos Pictures, a photo agency specialising in global social issues to show four films about people in Croatia, Jordan, Palestine and Mali – all stories of home, disrupted. Your WorldView is also working with the Durban Film Festival on pitching opportunities for African filmmakers and content, and teamed up with the Scottish Documentary Institute to grant £1,000 for a winning Home pitch.
