About the project

The “COVID’s Legacy: The Role of African Media in Keeping Women Journalists Safe” project evaluates safeguards, identifies gaps, and strengthens physical, online, and mental well-being measures for women journalists in Ghana and Nigeria. The project comprises several core activities, including research, training for women journalists and media managers, and an impact evaluation session. Notably, the capacity-building workshops will support women journalists as they develop “safety toolboxes” to manage risks, while media managers will receive training on developing and sustaining safety protocols.
