PMA is delighted to offer discounted masterclasses led by Andrew Edwards, an award-winning broadcaster, mentor and former BBC presenter with more than 30 years of experience on air.
These tailored sessions are designed to give you the skills, confidence and insight to thrive in radio, podcasting and public speaking. Training can focus on a single theme or combine two to three elements for a bespoke programme that meets your needs.
Masterclass outline
In a two-part workshop (2 x 2-hour online sessions), Andrew will deliver practical training in the essentials of professional radio broadcasting, presentation and storytelling. Drawing on his extensive BBC career and years of teaching experience, Andrew provides tools that can be applied immediately to on-air radio, live events, and podcast projects.
Participants and organisations can select one or combine any of the following themes and elements:
- Radio Broadcast Training – Present with clarity, confidence and authority; handle live situations; keep audiences engaged.
- Presentation Skills - Develop confidence and techniques for public speaking and performance in front of a microphone, camera or live audience.
- Podcast Production (Non-technical) - Learn how to design, structure and deliver compelling podcasts that connect with listeners.
The sessions are highly practical, with opportunities for feedback, rehearsal, and real-world insights from Andrew’s distinguished broadcasting career.

Session lead...

Andrew Edwards is a highly experienced broadcaster, trainer and mentor. He worked at the BBC for 34 years, presenting live programmes ranging from breakfast shows to news, phone-ins, interviews and feature programming.
Alongside his broadcasting career, Andrew has spent many years teaching radio journalism and production at university, mentoring young people and coaching new presenters. He now keeps busy as a freelance host, presenter, scriptwriter, voice artist and trainer.
