TRAINING
Workshop: Making AI work for Caribbean media
WHEN: 17, 19, 24 & 26 NOVEMBER 2026
Are you a Caribbean media professional looking for practical guidance on making informed decisions about AI in your organisation? Sign up for this practical online training from the Public Media Alliance.

The Public Media Alliance is hosting a series of online training sessions designed to help Caribbean public media professionals navigate the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence, practically and responsibly.
What we're offering
Artificial intelligence is transforming journalism and broadcasting, creating new opportunities for content creation, audience engagement, and newsroom efficiency. At the same time, Caribbean public media organisations are navigating important questions around ethics, trust, verification, and responsible adoption.
The training sessions, funded by the Bridging Responsible AI Divides (BRAID), will combine practical demonstrations on how AI tools can be implemented and safely used, alongside discussions around responsible AI strategy and policy. The aim is to equip participants with the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about AI in their organisations.
The sessions will also draw on two pieces of research conducted by PMA in the past year:
- Two industry reports, funded by BRAID and with Professor Kate Wright of the University of Edinburgh, on the current usage and governance of AI tools within public media;
- Five case studies, developed in collaboration with the Caribbean School of Media and Communication (CARIMAC), on responsible AI usage in Caribbean broadcasters, published in conjunction with PMA’s session on AI and the future of Caribbean media at the CBU AGA in August.
Together, these insights will help participants explore how AI can be used effectively while safeguarding public service media values.
