The inside story of whistleblower Edward Snowden’s disclosures of mass surveillance will headline this year’s Radiodays Europe. Paul Johnson, deputy editor of the UK’s Guardian newspaper – the first and main publisher of the Snowden material – will discuss how his paper broke the story. Johnson, pictured to the left of Snowden above, will also reveal how the Guardian handled it, the political pressure they met and the further perspectives they see in the case.

Radiodays Europe is Europe’s largest radio conference, and the 2014 edition will be held in Dublin, Ireland from 23 to 25 March. It connects the whole radio industry across Europe, encompassing public and private broadcasters. Last year’s sellout event was held in Berlin, attracting  1,200 delegates from 50 countries.
