Gerard Teuma has been a PMA Board Member since 2016.

After 38 years at GBC and 10 years as CEO, Gerard leaves a legacy of transformation at Gibraltar’s public broadcaster.

Among his successes as CEO include GBC’s transition from analogue to digital, a renegotiation of the broadcaster’s funding model, and its recent relocation to new, modern premises. He also oversaw the GBC Open Day, a charitable event which raised over £4million for local charities.

From a presenter to Duty Editor and Head of Radio, Gerard’s multifaceted career at GBC brought a wealth of experience and insight to the PMA Board, which he has been part of since 2016, and Vice President from 2018 to 2021.

“We will miss Gerard’s passionate and nuanced support for public media and I wish him all the very best for the future,” said PMA CEO, Kristian Porter. “The PMA team and its members have all benefitted from Gerard’s advice, extensive knowledge and experience. Thank you Gerard, and all the best for the future.”
